Why haven't I heard of Local Kindness before?

Because Local Kindness is new.

The business name was registered in Australia on 16 September 2026, and the first Locations are now being established.

If you are reading this, you have found Local Kindness at the beginning, while the national network is still being built.

Your first week costs $12.50. After that, the licence is $25 a week.

Getting involved early will suit some people and not others. The decision is yours.

Do I need trade qualifications?

No. The three ready-made services - Bins In/Out, Dinner for Two and Kindness Delivery - are built around care, reliability and everyday practical skills — not licensed trade work. Work that needs a licensed trade is not part of the foundation services. You may still list a local trade on your page and take bookings for them if you and they agree.

What exactly is a Location?

A Location is one suburb and its postcode, allocated exclusively to one Partner.

Its public address is the suburb name and postcode together — for example, claremont6010.localkindness.com.au

Every Local Kindness booking for that Location goes to its Partner. Some Locations are larger than others. The opportunity, and how the Partner grows to meet it, belongs to them.

One Location. One Partner. No competing Local Kindness Partner for the same suburb and postcode.

Do I have to offer the starter services?

No. The starter services are optional. You can remove any of them and add services of your own. Partners have listed things like local honey, portraits and bike repairs — those are examples of what is possible, not a set list, and not something every Location offers.

Can more than one person do the work?

Yes. One Location can use several workers. You decide who does each job and stay responsible for the Location.

How many Locations can I hold?

Up to two. One person may hold a maximum of two Locations at a time.

What does it cost to start?

The licence is $25 per week. Your first week is $12.50. No lock-in. The weekly fee can only increase once a year, and never by more than the CPI.

How much of what customers pay do I keep?

After Stripe fees, supplier costs and worker payments, you keep 90% of what remains. Local Kindness keeps 10%. The weekly licence fee is separate.

Is this a job or a business?

A business. You run the Location — your hours, your local pricing, your customers.

Can I start part-time?

Yes. You set your hours. Bookings are accepted at least 40 hours ahead.

My Location is not available yet. What can I do?

Check back, or email ask@reply.localkindness.com.au.

What if it is not for me?

Cancel and the Location is released. We part as friends, or we stay as friends.

Do I get my own website?

Yes. Every Location gets its own page with your name, photo and services, built and easily maintained for you.
